> OTHER BASS (Brian DeMarcus) Learn the rudiments of bass - everything from basic rhythm to chord transitions to walking bass lines. BODHRAN (Suzi Fowley Perri) Learn the difference between jigs and reels and the basic rhythmic patterns for both. We will also learn about the history and care of the bodhran, session etiquette, and the social skills required to make you welcome in any session. Bodhrans will be available for those who don’t have them. All levels welcome. MUSIC THEORY (Mike Doolin) Mike Doolin teaches practical music theory. Where do scales and chords and keys come from? How do you know what scale goes with what chord? How do you know what key a song is in? How do you play a song in different keys? A little theory goes a long way in building your confidence as a musician, and Mike makes it fun and interesting. All instruments welcome. |
